All the days we courted,
She knew I had no dough,
She looked beyond that shortage,
And said she loved me so.
So wedding bells rang out,
A solemn vow exchange,
We're off across the prairie,
To our home upon the range.
I hold her now to cross,
The threshold of our dreams,
A house I built in just 5 days,
Using old tree trunks as beams.
I thought I'd hear her screams,
Of joy and delight,
I'm really quite surprised,
That she passed out from the sight.
She knew I had no dough,
She looked beyond that shortage,
And said she loved me so.
So wedding bells rang out,
A solemn vow exchange,
We're off across the prairie,
To our home upon the range.
I hold her now to cross,
The threshold of our dreams,
A house I built in just 5 days,
Using old tree trunks as beams.
I thought I'd hear her screams,
Of joy and delight,
I'm really quite surprised,
That she passed out from the sight.
